This system is the result of ACLR's research project Construction and Application of Quality Learning Resources in International Chinese Language Education. The project manager is Jiang Liping, chief expert of ACLR and Professor of BLCU.

The Chinese Phonetics Query System mainly provides words query with phonetic points for retrieval, and filter and display words in different vocabularies.

Words can be searched by single character, Pinyin, phonetic features of initials and finals, double syllables and multi syllables, and phonetic changes on the System.More specific queries can be made by limiting the number of syllables, syllable positions, vocabulary sources, etc., and a second search can be performed in the query results.

The data source of the System:Graded Chinese Characters List for International Chinese Language Education(3000-character list for short), 5000 words in the HSK Test Syllabus (abbreviated as HSK5000 words), andMandarin Vocabulary List for Putonghua Proficiency Test(Referred to as 17041 PSC vocabulary),Standard for Chinese Proficiency in International Chinese Language Education(abbreviated as 11092 BZ vocabulary).
