Training Levels:

Elementary level A: For students having not learned any Chinese

Elementary level B. For students having learned Pinyin and mastered about 600 words

Elementary level C. For students having learned Chinese and mastered about 1200 words

Teaching Objectives:

A. For students of Elementary level A, after they conclude one school-year’s study, they are supposed to have a vocabulary of 1900-2100 words and complete the grammar study at the elementary phase.

B. For students of Elementary level B, after they conclude one school-year’s study, they are supposed to have a vocabulary of 2200-2400 words and finish learning the grammar of the elementary phase and basic lexical usage.

C. For students of Elementary level C, after they conclude one school-year’s study, they are supposed to have a vocabulary of 2800-3000 words and finish learning the grammar of the elementary phase and part of the grammar and vocabulary of the intermediate phase.

Training Hours:There are two terms in one school-year, each of them will last for 19 weeks, there are 18-20 teaching hours of lectures per week.

Beginners at Elementary level A and Elementary level B will be granted the Certificate of Elementary Chinese Level after having concluded one school year’s study and acquired the required 32 credit points.

Beginners at Elementary level C will be granted the Certificate of Quasi-intermediate Chinese Level after they have concluded one school year’s study and acquired the required 28 credit points.
