Beijing International Students Scholarship
Beijing International Students Scholarship isestablished by the university to encourage self-funded students to work hard on their study and research, so as to cultivate high-level talents with excellent conduct and academic performance.
Application Procedure
This scholarship is open to applicants of Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree and PhD programs.
This scholarship only covers the first year tuition fee and excludes other fees.
1. Download “Beijing International Students Scholarship Form (Only for Freshmen)” from the website of Beijing language and culture university.
2. Submit relevant materials according to the course you are applying for (see Application Materials);
3. Only after the approval of International Student Scholarship Committee, the successful candidates will be awarded the scholarship, and “Admission Notice for Beijing International Students Scholarship” will be issued. Otherwise, the applicants shall study on their own expenses.
4. If the applicant decides not to study at BLCU, the application materials will not be returned and application fee will not be refunded.
Application Materials:
Applicants for master's and PhD programs should provide the following documents:
(1) “Beijing International Students Scholarship Form (Only for Freshmen)”;
(2) “BEIJING LANGUAGE AND CULTURE UNIVERSITY（BLCU）
POSTGRADUATE APPLICATION FORM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS”;
(3) Academic diploma: Applicants for master's programs should provide a photocopy of their bachelor's degree certificate. Applicants for PhD programs should provide a photocopy of their master's degree certificate. Translation in Chinese or English should be attached to any text other than Chinese or English.This year's graduates should provide a pre-graduation certificate;
(4) The transcript of the highest academic degree;
(5) Provide otherrequiredcertificates of the chosen courses, such as photocopy of HSK certificate, please check the following link:https://admission.blcu.edu.cn/56/list.htm
(6) A photocopy of the applicant's ordinary passport within the validity period;
(7) A photocopy of the ID of the applicant’s emergency contact(can be a passport, license, or other official ID of Chinese citizen or FOREIGNER);
(8) Two reference letters from professors or associate professors of related fields;
(9) Study plan (including resume, learning experience, Chinese proficiency, personal research ability, future research plan, and career plan after graduation, etc. Study plan shall includes at least 800 words for master's degree and 1500 words for doctor's degree, written in Chinese.);
(10) Applicants for PhD programs should provide a letter of acceptance of supervisor;
(11) Electronic Colored 2-inch bareheaded photo(the name of the photo shall be the passport number), white background without border, head makes up two-thirds of the photo, pixel no less than 320*240, 100-500kb, in JPG format.;
(12) The application fee(800 RMB) payment proof.

2. Applicants for Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Programs should provide the following materials:

(2) Beijing language and culture university Application Form for International Students;
(3) Academic diploma: a photocopy of the applicant’s highest academic diploma. This year’s graduates should provide a pre-graduation certificate; Translation in Chinese or English should be attached to any text other than Chinese or English.
(4)Academic record of the highest education.
(5) A photocopy of HSK certificate;
(6) A photocopy of the applicant's ordinary passport within the validity period;
(7) A photocopy of the ID of the applicant’s emergency contact(can be a passport, license, or other official ID of Chinese citizen or FOREIGNER);
(8) Two reference letters;
