Press Time:2021-05-20 Viewed:

On International Museum day, May 18, our school arranged a visit to the National Museum of China for our international students to attend its theme exhibition of “Road to Revival” and “Ancient China.” With this visit, we aimed to let many international students understand the development of China from ancient times to modern times and get close to knowing the development of China's civilization over thousands of years.

The Road of Revival

First of all, we came to the theme pavilion of "Road to Renaissance". With the explanation of Chinese volunteers of BLCU, we fully reviewed the process of China's road to rejuvenation. From the semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, when the Chinese people were oppressed by the feudal and imperialist forces, to the unremitting efforts of generations of revolutionary martyrs to seek development and felicity for China and the Chinese nation. In the end, the clouds finally lifted and the sun finally emerged. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, China has made remarkable achievements in adhering to the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, ushering China into a new era.

Ancient China

Then the international students visited the "Ancient China" Pavilion, where they learned about the maturing of Chinese civilization step by step along with the development of ancient Chinese history, from Xia, Shang, Western Zhou, Qin, Huang, Han, Wu, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. The precious cultural relics collected in the museum reflect the cultural inheritance and the development and progress of technology. The shock from one hundred years among the whole Chinese history makes international students deeply feel the profound cultural deposits and cultural characteristics of China over five thousand years, and deepen their understanding of China.

Their feelings

Through this exhibition, we promoted mutual understanding and active integration between China and foreign cultures, allowing international students to have a deep understanding of China. From Ancient China to Modern culture and from China's difficult times in the past to the Revival today, international students could see and feel the collision between Chinese traditions and modern cultures as well as vicissitudes of China’s development throughout its long history. Now let us see how our students have felt with this exhibition:
