Firstly, be more aware of green living by sorting garbage.

Secondly, get familiar with waste sorting system in Beijing.
为方便市民了解如何进行垃圾分类，我们在市城市管理委网站、首都之窗网站设立垃圾分类专题。
Household trash falls into four types: recyclables, kitchen waste, hazardous waste and other waste. Relevant information can be found on websites of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Management (csglw.beijing.gov.cn/E/) and Beijing Municipality (www.ebeijing.gov.cn), both of which are accessible through the QR codes attached.
市民也可用“管城理市”微信公众号上“垃分宝典”小程序，通过语音、拍照和文字任一种方式快速查询。
You can also use the Mini Program “Guide to Waste Classification”(la fen baodian,垃分宝典) from the WeChat Account “City Management” ( guanli chengshi,管理城市), which allows you to search for garbage sorting rules by voice, photo or text.
养成垃圾分类良好习惯。
Thirdly, get accustomed to sorting garbage every day.
在家中摆放“两桶一袋”，即厨余垃圾桶、其他垃圾桶和可回收物袋。
Set up separate bins for your kitchen waste and other waste. Prepare bags for your recyclables.
将每天产生的生活垃圾，居家分好类、先分类，再按照投放要求投放到小区相应的垃圾桶中。
Classify your household waste every day and then put them into the corresponding dustbins in your neighborhood.
践行绿色低碳生活方式。
Fourthly, lead an environmentally-friendly lifestyle.
倡导废旧物品重复利用、使用再生利用产品、减少一次性用品使用。
Recycle old items and choose recyclable products over non-recyclable ones. Reduce using disposable products.
倡导适量点餐、“光盘行动”，倡导选购净菜、减少购买过度包装产品。
Make reasonable orders at restaurants following “Clean Your Plate” campaign. Buy cleaned vegetables and avoid over-packaged products.

Guide to waste sorting
1.废弃电器电子类产品主要品种：包括废弃计算机、打印机、复印机、传真机、扫描仪、投影仪、电视机、空调机等。
Recyclable electronic waste includes: used computers, printers, photocopiers, fax machines, scanners, projectors, TVs and air conditioners, etc.
2.纸类可回收物主要品种：包括公开发行的废旧报刊书籍、硬纸板盒、日历、信封等。
Recyclable paper includes: old newspapers and magazines, cardboard boxes, calendars and envelopes, etc.
3.其他可回收物主要品种：包括废塑料、废包装物、废纺织物、废金属、废玻璃等。
Other recyclables include: used plastic, packaging, textile, metal and glass, etc.
主要品种：包括废电池（镉镍电池、氧化汞电池、铅蓄电池等），废荧光灯管（日光灯管、节能灯等），废温度计，废血压计，废药品及其包装物，废油漆、溶剂及其包装物等。
Hazardous waste includes batteries made from such materials as nickel-cadmium, mercury, and lead-acid; fluorescent lamp tubes (including compact fluorescent lamps), thermometers, sphygmomanometers, drugs and their packaging, paint, chemical solvent and its packaging.
主要品种：包括食品制作过程中废弃的和剩余废弃的食物，如米饭、面食、肉类、骨头、蔬菜、瓜果皮等。
Kitchen waste includes food leftover produced during or after cooking, such as rice, noodles, pastry, meat, bones, vegetables and fruit peels, etc.
在投放时应尽量沥干水分，有包装的过期食品应将包装去除，做到“无玻璃陶瓷、无金属、无塑料橡胶”等其它杂物。
Moisture should be drained before disposal. Packaging of expired food should be removed, such as glass, ceramics, metal, plastic and rubber.
主要品种：包括受污染与无法再生的纸张、塑料袋、陶瓷制品、普通一次性电池（碱性电池）、难以自然降解的肉食骨骼、一次性餐盒、烟头、灰土、卫厕垃圾等等。
Other waste includes polluted or non-recyclable paper, plastic bags, ceramics, single-use batteries (such as alkaline batteries), meat and bones that are difficult to chemically digest, disposable food packaging and tableware, cigarette butts, dust and toilet waste, etc.
