On the morning of December 18th, BLCU held the Employment and Entrepreneurship Conference for Graduates of 2021, which summarized the employment situation of graduates of 2020 as well as the employment and entrepreneurship of the university in 2020. The mobilization work was also carried out for the of graduates of 2021.

At the meeting, the Department of Linguistics was awarded BLCU Advanced Unit for Employment in 2019-2020 with the excellent result of 100% employment rate of graduates of 2020.

Fuzhen Si, Dean of the Department of Linguistics, made a speech as the representative of advanced units at the conference, and reported the employment situation of the Department in 2020 from four aspects: basic employment data of graduates, main employment practices, analysis and sharing of typical cases, and ways and methods of realizing one’s dream. Fuzhen Si said that the Department of Linguistics always adhered to the career planning throughout the cultivation of students, guiding students to make plans for their own development and career in different studying stage. It also devoted itself to the cultivation of talents majoring in linguistics with clear plans, comprehensive development and full advantages. In the employment of graduates, the Department of Linguistics provided graduates with abundant employment information. It did a good job in the investigation of graduates' employment situation, providing corresponding help and guidance for different types of employment groups, and guiding graduates to establish a positive and correct value of career choice.

The Department of Linguistics obtained satisfactory results in the employment and entrepreneurship work in 2019-2020, achieving 100% employment rate. On the one hand, it relied on the solid professional ability and excellent personal quality of the graduates of 2020; on the other hand, it also relied on the hard work of the department's employment and entrepreneurship working group. In the 2020-2021 employment and entrepreneurship work, the Department of Linguistics will continue to uphold the tradition and do a good job in students’ career planning and graduates’ employment guidance.
