About Us
The Center for the Cognitive Science of Language (CCSL) at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) is an international and open research institution that mainly engages in the research of Chinese as Second Language Acquisition and Cognition, Bilingual Language Acquisition, Cognitive Neuroscience, Language Cognition, and Cybrain Research, etc.
Researchers at CCSL conduct research across language acquisition and cognition, from psycholinguistics, language & cognitive neuroscience, language to cognitive simulation of language, etc. In addition, CCSL opens the "Language Acquisition and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory", which includes Eye-tracking Lab, EEG Lab, fNIRS Lab, Experimental Phonetics Lab with professional and advanced experimental equipment for scientific research.
In order to promote international academic exchanges and cooperation, and to spur the development of the study on cognitive science of language, we hereby hunt employees as our resident researchers, youth scientific researchers and postdoctoral researchers worldwide.
1.Resident Researchers
Duties:
lCarry out cooperative research and publish high-quality academic papers;
lAssist in constructing research teams;
lOffer professional courses for postgraduate students at CCSL;
lProvide guidance to postgraduate students at CCSL.
Qualifications:
lNon-Chinese;
lOutstanding in academic research and have great teamwork spirits;
lHave outstanding contributions and important academic influence in the study fields;
lPossess the title of associate professor or other equivalent positions;
lUnder 60 years old.
Annual Salary
lSenior researchers (renowned professor):up to 600,000 yuan (residency requirement: staying in CCSL for at least 1 month per year).
lIntermediate researchers (associate professor or above):up to 300,000 yuan (residency requirement: staying in CCSL for at least 3 month per year or above 1 year).
The specific sum of salary of the researchers depends on the actual workload. Both sides shall sign a work agreement based on the negotiation.
2.Youth Scientific Researchers
Duties:
lConduct Research and publish high-quality academic papers;
lConduct collaborative research with CCSL’s researchers;
lOffer specialized courses for postgraduate students at CCSL;
lProvide instruction to postgraduate students at CCSL.
Qualifications:
lNon-Chinese;
lHave an doctorate degree that was obtained outside China
lHave published academic results in international journals (SCI or SSCI) as the first author or corresponding author;
lOutstanding in academic research and have great teamwork spirits;
lUnder 40 years old.
Annual Salary
lRange from 200,000 to 300,000 yuan (residency requirement: work at CCSL from 1 to 2 years).
The specific sum of salary of the researchers depends on the actual workload. Both sides shall sign a work agreement based on the negotiation.
3.Postdoctoral Researcher
Referring to the requirements of theGuidelines for Recruitment of Postdoctoral Researchers of Beijing Language and Culture Universityissued annually by BLCU, CCSL is recruiting international postdoctoral researchers. Details are as follows:
Qualifications:
lNon-Chinese;
lHave an doctorate degree that was obtained outside China
lHave published academic results in international journals (SCI or SSCI) as the first author or corresponding author;
lOffer specialized courses for postgraduates at CCSL.
Funding and Requirements:
lThe foreign postdoctoral researchers at CCSL will be supported by the special funds of CCSL.
lThe fund of each researchers ranges from 200,000 to 300,000 yuan, which depends on the actual work load.
lResidency requirement: 2 years.
