The Center for Cognitive Science of Language Holds the Plenary Session of Postgraduate Students and Mentors


On the morning of September 27th, the CCSL Center held a plenary session of postgraduate students and mentors. Professor Wang Jianqin, the center leader, and all the researchers attended the conference.


At the meeting, Professor Wang Jianqin first introduced in detail the new scientific research management system that the Center will implement, namely the academic team system.During postgraduate study, the mentor should guide students to participate in his or her research, participate in his or her academic team, and participate in his or her research project.


Secondly, the center will establish a group meeting reporting system, and hold a monthly meeting for all the instructors and graduate students. At the group meeting, each team will report their research progress and results in turn. The group meeting system will not only broaden the horizon, but also enrich the knowledge structure, which is conducive to the academic growth and development of graduate students.


Thirdly, Professor Wang introduced the principle of dual-mentor system implemented by the center in postgraduate training, which clarified the duties and division of labor of leading mentors, cooperative mentors and foreign mentors, as well as the responsibilities and specific work of the mentors in postgraduate training, so that there is cooperation and division of labor among the mentors in the postgraduate guidance, and they can also share complementary advantages and learn from teaching.


Finally, Professor Wang also introduced the new laboratory management methods and series of regulations of the center, as well as the various management systems, credit requirements and precautions that graduate students must observe during their study.
